A scenic loop trail that has views of Bryce Canyon, Glen Canyon and other amazing places. After about 2 miles the trail comes to an old road. Turn left following the road to the south. When you see the pink cliffs above you to the north you are just below Canaan Peak which is a great campsite.

Lunar Loaf is a trail head that leads up to a rocky hilltop. It is a great short hike will several smaller trails branching from it. The hilltop gives a stunning view of Lake Superior to the east and Hogsback to the west. It is easily accessible all year round.
One of my favorite camping spots in Northern Michigan is locally called Hogsback. One of the highest hikes in the Marquette area, the campsite is on top of a rocky mountain with tree cover for hammock. The view from the top overlook stye city and Lake Superior -- a breath-taking view. In the winter this is a great place for some back-country skiing and snowboarding.
